Westmoreland Mall Fire Prevention Night

On Tuesday, October 10, 2006 ACVFD took part in a fire prevention and safety day at Westmoreland Mall. In attendance was fire apparatus from Hempfield Township and surrounding communities.  ACVFD took there entire fleet to this event.  ACVFD also used the Fire Safety Trailer to educate the public on what steps are to be taken when there is a fire in your home.  ACVFD firefighters took hundreds of children through the fire safety trailer in one night.  ACVFD also distributed fire prevention booklets, balloons, and coloring books for the children.  Along with the fire safety trailer, there was a rescue simulation and different types of fire apparatus on display.
